Gardaí question man in connection with woman's abduction in Longford

A man is still being questioned by Gardaí following the abduction of a woman in her 20's in Longford at the weekend.

The mother of four, who is known to the man, was forcibly removed from her home in Edgeworthstown at around 4pm on Saturday afternoon.

The woman had been caring for her children and three others at the time of the abduction.

No one was injured during the incident and the woman was safely located early yesterday morning.

A man in his 20's was arrested yesterday and is being held at Granard Garda Station under section four of the Criminal Justice Act.
