Court appearance for two men following robbery in Co Donegal
Two men are due in court this morning, charged in connection with a robbery at a filling station in Co. Donegal.
It happened on the Donegal Road in Killybegs yesterday evening around 5pm.
Two males entered a filling station on the Donegal Road in Killybegs armed with iron bars.
Staff in the shop were threatened and the men demanded money. The premises were damaged in the incident.
The two males left the shop with a sum of money in a Ford Focus in the direction of Donegal Town.
A number of garda units responded to the call, including a Traffic unit who's car was rammed by the Ford.
The Ford Focus crashed into a car outside Donegal Town and the three occupants fled on foot.
Two men in their 20's were arrested following a foot chase and the money recovered. A third man escaped.
The two men were taken to Ballyshannon Garda Station for questioning.
They are due at a special sitting of Sligo District Court this morning.
