The Co-Leader of the Social Democrats Roisin Shortall has said a vote transfer pact with any party, including Sinn Féin, would have been a 'negative' for the party.

Her comments come after the Social Democrats declined to join the trade union-led Right2Change group - which Sinn Féin signed up to earlier this week.
