Jerry McCabe family member wants army to support gardaí in border areas
A brother-in-law of Jerry McCabe, the Garda who was shot dead in Limerick in 1996, says the army should be used to support the gardaí along border areas.
Pat Kearney, himself a former Garda, said that the force is the 'Cinderella' of the state agencies, and is always let down in areas like transport and technology.
