Facebook court ruling 'suggests protection of data transferred to US is inadequate', says solicitor

The Irish Data Protection Commissioner will examine how today's EU court ruling protecting personal information online will impact data being shared with the US.

In a statement, the Commissioner says the significance of the judgement extends far beyond the case currently pending in Ireland.
