An Post will not respond to CWU

An Post says it will not respond to the Communications Workers Union, which is calling for the decision for the suspension of postal services to be reversed.
The CWU Union represents the 36 I-O Systems workers who are on strike at mail centres over cuts to their pay.
It has contacted An Post's leadership to ask them to withdraw its threat to shut down the postal.
The workers at I-O Systems, who are responsible for the maintenance of the automation machines in An Post's mail centres, have been on strike since Friday.
National Officer with the CWU Sean McDonagh, says the mail service should never have been shut down: "We're asking and we're calling on An Post management to reverse their decision, open up the services, get the show on the road."
