Protest in support of Ibrahim Halawa held in Dublin today

A protest has been held in Dublin city centre to call for the immediate release of Ibrahim Halawa.
The 19-year-old from Tallaght has been held in an Egyptian jail for 777 days now - after he was arrested in Cairo in August of 2013.
His 9th scheduled trial appearance is due to take place on Sunday.
Ibrahim’s sister Somaia said he is aware of the outpouring of support in Ireland.
“I am sure he does, everything is reported back to him, every little support is reported back to him and I still receive cards from people I don’t know in support of Ibrahim so I have all those cards for him when he comes back.”
