Eamon Gilmore appointed as a peace envoy in Colombia

The former Tánaiste Eamon Gilmore has been given a new role, as a peace envoy in Colombia.

The ex-Labour leader has been appointed by the EU's foreign affairs chief Federica Mogherini.
