Irish universities give international students the best experience, according to study

International students in Europe are happiest with their experience in Ireland, according to the online study choice platform, StudyPortals.

In an article published in the UK Independent, Irish colleges were cited for their community atmospheres, innovative programmes, support structures for students, as well as their multi-cultural mix and vivid student life.

StudyPortals based its findings on more than 17,000 reviews from over the past academic year.

Maynooth University was given StudyPortals' top Outstanding international student satisfaction award, with the National University of Ireland, University of Limerick, and University College Cork all walking away with the "Excellent" prize.

It found that 86% of students were happy with their study abroad experience, compared with 89% in 2014.
