LÉ Niamh on way to Sicily after rescuing 300 off Libyan coast

More than 300 people have been rescued by the crew of the LÉ Niamh in the Mediterranean today.

The Irish Naval vessel came across three boats in north of Tripoli off the coast of Lybia just before 10am this morning.
