Gardaí probe attack on man in Mullingar

Gardaí are investigating an attack on a young man in Co Westmeath last night.

The man in his 20's was set upon by a number of people in the Lynn Heights area of Mullingar at about a 10.15pm.

He was taken to the Midlands Regional Hospital in Mullingar for head injuries that are not thought to be life threatening.

Investigations are ongoing and no person has been arrested as yet.
