Beaumont Hospital staff to be honoured for patient care

Staff at Beaumont Hospital in Dublin will be honoured today for their treatment of patients.

The Honour Your Heroes event brings back former patients who want to thank those who treated them.

RTÉ's Marty Whelan is to MC the event, and thank one of the care assistants who looked after his mother in 2013.

Fundraising and communications manager for the event Sheila Campbell said staff at the hospital were excited about the event.

"There's a great buzz in the hospital for those who have been nominated," she said.
