Man due in court over Rathmines robbery

A 33-year-old man is due in court in Dublin this morning in connection with a robbery in Rathmines, during which a knife was used.

At around 12.15 am this morning, a 27-year-old man walking in Rathmines Park was approached by another man wielding a knife, who threatened him and stole his mobile phone.

Gardaí were alerted and made an arrest nearby.

The mobile phone was recovered during a follow up search.
