Man in serious condition after Ballyfermot shooting

A technical examination is due to be carried out at the scene of a shooting in Dublin.

A man in his 20s suffered a number of gunshot wounds in the incident in Ballyfermot last night. He was discovered on a green area close to the rail line at Cherry Orchard, and is receiving treatment at St James' hospital, where his condition is described as serious.
