Teenager injured in Longford accident dies

A 19-year-old man who was seriously injured in a crash in Longford on Sunday morning has died in hospital.

He has been named locally as Michael Warren of Castlepark in Newtownforbes.

Five people were injured when the car they were travelling in hit a ditch on the Ferefad to Ballymakeegan Road between 3.30am and 4am on Sunday morning.

19-year-old Michael Warren was taken to the Midland Regional Hospital in Mullingar where he died of his injuries yesterday afternoon with his family by his bedside.
