The Irish Navy has rescued another 125 people in the Mediterranean.
The LE Niamh rescued people from an overloaded inflatable craft yesterday afternoon, about 115 kilometres north west of Tripoli.
The vessel was then re-tasked to take on board another 375 people from the Italian vessel Mimbelli.
They have so far rescued over 1,600 people in the Mediterranean, dropping many of them on land in Italy.
The UN confirmed yesterday that over 100,000 migrants have arrived in the country so far.
