Two women in hospital after Dublin house fire
An elderly woman has been hospitalised after she was rescued from a burning building in Dublin's City centre this afternoon.
Four units of the Dublin Fire Brigade were deployed to the scene on Upper Kevin Street.
A woman in her 70s was taken from the balcony of the building and is being treated at St James’ Hospital for smoke inhalation.
A second woman from a neighbouring apartment has also been taken to hospital and her injuries are not yet known.
The blaze has now been brought under control and a Garda investigation is underway.
