Man due in court in connection with murder of Loyalist by samurai sword
A man will appear in court in the North today charged with murdering a senior Loyalist with a samurai sword.
UDA Chief Colin Lindsay was killed in the living room of his own home in Belfast last month.
Another man was badly injured in the attack which is believed to have taken place after a small group of men had been drinking at the house in the loyalist Belvoir housing estate in South Belfast.
46-year-old Albert Armstrong has been charged with murder and attempted murder.
He is due to appear in Newtownards Magistrates’ Court today via videolink.
