Delays on rail services after Cork train became stuck

Irish Rail is reporting delays of up to two hours out of Heuston station this afternoon.

The train company says it is due to a mechanical fault on its 1pm service to Cork, which became stuck near Kildare due to "a mechanical fault".

Iarnród Éireann says services have now resumed - with delays. Passengers on board tweeted about a lack of air conditioning on board the stationary trains, while the catering service on board also ran out of food.

Services back moving out of Heuston. There are delays of up to 2 hours to all services.
