Army Bomb Disposal called out twice in South West
The Army Bomb Disposal team responded to two call outs in the South West today.
At midday members of the bomb squad were sent to a school in Ennis in Co. Clare following a request from the Gardaí.
The team moved a chemical, commonly known as 'Brady's Re-Agent', to a nearby field where it was made safe through the use of a controlled explosion.
Then at around 6pm the team were sent to the Roxboro area of Limerick City where two historical munitions were found by workers on a building site.
Upon examination the items were found to be artillery ammunition from the 19th century.
