LÉ Niamh rescues 98 people off Libyan coast
The LÉ Niamh rescued almost 100 migrants yesterday.
The Irish Naval vessel took part in an operation north west of Libya where it found a rubber craft floating adrift.
Of the 98 on board, 18 were women and there were two children.
The crew of the ship also took part in another operation with an Italian patrol vessel in which 250 migrants were rescued.
