Breda Delaney was last seen at her home in Blackrock at around 3.30am on Saturday.

A sweep of the south Dublin coastline has been carried out in the search for the 72-year-old.

Breda's daughter Eimear Delaney is appealing to anyone who may have seen her to get in touch.

"She's a small woman with blonde hair so light it's almost white," she said.

"We've no solid leads as yet, so we really, desperately need (to hear) from somebody who might have seen her."

Ms Delaney is described as being five foot four inches tall and of slight build with blonde-grey hair and blue eyes.

When last seen, Breda was wearing a white cardigan, a grey calf length skirt and black shoes.
