The PSNI has confirmed a second man has died following a samurai sword attack in south Belfast last Wednesday night.

52-year-old Stanley Wightman has died in hospital this afternoon following the incident at Kirkistown Walk.

Colin Lindsay, a UDA chief, died shortly after the attack at his home on Wednesday.

A 46-year-old man has appeared in court charged with the murder of Mr Lindsay and attempted murder of Mr Wightman.

Albert Armstrong will appear in court again on August 7.
