Flight diverted to Shannon after smoke alarm heard in cargo hold
A Delta Airlines flight has made an unscheduled landing at Shannon Airport this afternoon.

The flight was diverted to Shannon after a fire alarm went off in the Boeing 747-400's cargo hold.

It was scheduled to fly from Amsterdam to Atlanta.
The plane, with 392 passengers on board, landed safely.
