Only an eighth of housing in study within rent supplement limits

One of Ireland’s largest homelessness charities is calling for an urgent review of rent supplement limits - which it says are forcing people onto the streets.

Simon Communities Ireland has carried out a "snapshot study" of 10 regions where there were over 1,100 properties available to rent - but just 138 inside Rent Supplement or Housing Assistance Payment limits.
