Beit Foundation considers offer from Irish philanthropists

The board of the Beit Foundation is set to hold an emergency meeting to consider an offer from private donors to buy the paintings at the centre of an ongoing controversy.

The artworks are part of a priceless collection gifted to the Irish people, and housed at Russborough House in Co Wicklow.
