A woman has fallen from a window at Cavan General Hospital.

A woman has fallen from a window at Cavan General Hospital.

It is understood the patient suffered head injuries in the fall, and an investigation has been launched into the circumstances.

It is reported she has been transferred to Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital in Drogheda for further treatment.
