Woman arrested after pensioner stabbed in Dublin

A man in his 70s has been stabbed in west Dublin.

The man was injured in Monksfield Downs in Clondalkin around 6pm yesterday evening.

He was taken to Tallaght Hospital, with what is understood to be a wound in the abdomen. His condition is said to be non-life-threatening.

One woman aged in her early 70s has been arrested and is being held at Ballyfermot Garda Station.

The scene is preserved for a technical examination.
