101-yr-old woman on trolley for 26 hours: 'The Minister has made a promise. We need to see it in action'
Age Action has said it is totally unacceptable that a 101-year-old woman was left on a trolley for 26 hours at Tallaght Hospital's Emergency Department this week.
The woman, who has a history of heart and other health problems, was brought to the hospital on Monday.
She was given a blood transfusion while on the trolley.

Spokesperson for Age Action Justin Moran said the Health Minister needed to keep his promises about the length of time patients spend on trollies.
"(He) promised in April there would be zero tolerance for anyone kept on a trolley in an emergency department for more than 24 hours. We need to see that in action," he said.
"It's absolutely unacceptable that a woman is spending that length of time in a vulnerable situation being dealt with for a variety of different ailments by staff who are struggling to cope with the amount of people who are on trollies in the department."
