The Central Statistics Office have released their list of the most popular baby names in 2014 - and there are some surprises among the repeats.

Jack is Ireland's favourite boys' name - for the eighth year running

Jack is the top name for baby boys born in 2014 in Ireland - for the eighth year in a row - while Emily retains the top spot for the girls.

According to new figures released by the Central Statistics Office, Jack has been the most popular boy’s name in Ireland since 2007. Emily first topped the list in 2011.
