Light aircraft reported to have crashed on Mount Leinster

Reports are coming in that a light aircraft has crashed on Mount Leinster.

Emergency services were alerted after a hillwalker reported seeing the plane coming down.

Two people are thought to be on board the plane.

The Waterford-based helicopter, Rescue 117, is at the scene to search for the aircraft.

The South East Mountain Rescue Association and other emergency services are en route to the reported location.
