Catherine Murphy claims her FOI requests are being delayed by civil servants

The TD who first raised concerns about the sale of SiteServ says civil servants are now delaying her Freedom of Information requests.

Independent TD Catherine Murphy has said that she is getting answers to her requests weeks after other people who make the same inquiries.

Earlier the Department of Finance admitted it does not know how much it will have to pay IBRC's liquidators for their inquiry into the sale.

In the Dáil, Deputy Murphy said that she would made further Freedom of Information requests about the sale, but that she is not getting them back as quickly as others.

"I was due to have responses at about the same time as responses to the same questions were given to a journalist. But two weeks later I got the exact same pieces of Freedom of Information," said Deputy Murphy.

" I have other material that is overdue for weeks. I've gone through the appropriate channels to make the complaints but they are not being provided to me and I'm not being given an explanation," said the Deputy.
