Man due in court in connection with Limerick shooting

A man is due to appear before Limerick District Court later charged in connection with a shooting on Saturday.

A 42-year-old man was injured when he was shot on Hyde Road at around 2pm in the afternoon.

A 22-year-old arrested in relation to the incident is to appear at the court sitting in Kilmallock at 2pm this afternoon.

Gardaí recovered a gun and ammunition following the incident.
