New rules on selling pets to come into force

New rules governing the sale of pets online will be published today.

The Irish Pet Advertising Advisory Group will release new minimum standards for the placing of ads on websites selling animals.

The joint initiative between the websites, animal charities and experts aims to improve the welfare of the thousands of pets advertised online.
