Department considering options for evacuation of Irish citizen from Yemen
The Department of Foreign Affairs said it is maintaining contact with an Irish citizen about a possible evacuation from Yemen.
The dual Irish-Yemeni citizen remains in the country despite the escalation in battles between government and rebel forces.
In a statement the Department said it was maintaining contact with the citizen through its embassy in Saudi Arabia, and discussing options for a potential evacuation.
A separate Irish citizen was among 200 foreign nationals evacuated from Yemen's second city, Aden, last week.
