Girl aged 16 months in serious condition after being run over

A 16-month-old toddler is in a serious condition in hospital after she was run over in the driveway of a house in Galway yesterday evening.

The incident happened in an area called Kilbannon in Tuam at around 6pm.

She was rushed to University Hospital, Galway, and later transfered to Temple Street in Dublin.

Gardaí say the girl's condition is described as serious.
