PSNI launch manhunt after man shot in the face

A man shot in the face in north Belfast is in a serious condition in hospital.

Police said the 53-year-old victim is stable following the shooting in St James Mews off the Antrim Road around 9pm last night.

Two men carried out the attack, which police are treating as attempted murder.

Sinn Féin Assembly member Gerry Kelly said: “This attack was wrong and must be condemned. There can be no place for these type of actions in our community.

“Those behind this shooting are criminals and have nothing to offer this community. These attacks should end immediately.

“Anyone with any information on this attack should bring it to the police.”
