Man's body found in house in Limerick

Gardaí are investigating the death of a man at a house in Limerick city.

The man, aged in his 30s, was found unconscious on the ground floor of the house on Hyde Road at around 8pm last night.

He was rushed to University Hospital Limerick by ambulance where he was pronounced dead a short time later.

The house has been sealed off for a forensic examination and a post mortem will be carried out this afternoon, the results of which will determine the course of the investigation.
