Man charged with attempted robbery in Dublin

A man is due in court charged in connection with an attempted robbery at a shop in Clondalkin in Dublin yesterday.

A masked man entered the shop armed with a knife at around 3pm yesterday afternoon.

He threatened staff and demanded money, but an altercation ensued with one of the workers.

The staff member was injured on his hand, gardaí then arrived at the scene and a 32-year-old man was arrested.

He has been charged and is due to appear before Blanchardstown District Court this morning.
