Hackers install IS banner on Dublin Rape Crisis Centre site

The Dublin Rape Crisis Centre says its website was hacked last night, after a banner relating to Islamic State appeared on its homepage.

The DRCC says it was part of an overall wordpress hack and the website was not targeted directly.

Speaking to Independent.ie, CEO Ellen O' Malley-Dunlop said the act was "horrible", and she hopes visitors to the site last night were not upset.

The banner has since been taken down.
