Lenihan's special advisor to address banking inquiry

The Oireachtas Banking Inquiry will today hear from Dr Peter Bacon and from the former special advisor to Brian Lenihan Alan Ahearne.

He will be giving evidence on the reports he produced on the housing market in Ireland, as well as the work he did on the design of NAMA.

Professor Alan Ahearne will also appear at today's session. He worked as special advisor to the then Finance Minister Brian Lenihan between 2009 and 2011.

He is currently the head of Economics at NUIG.
