PSNI name Donegal girl killed in crash in Derry

A 13-year-old girl killed in a crash in Co Derry has been named as Georgia Louise Doherty.

Police have confirmed the schoolgirl was from the Redcastle area of Co Donegal.

She died after a two-vehicle collision on the Glenshane Road, Derry at around 5pm yesterday.

The PSNI have appealed for witnesses to come forward.

The road was closed at its junction with the Tamnaherin Road and Tirbracken Road for a long period after the crash but has since reopened.
