Sinn Féin's Colreavy will not contest next election

A Sinn Féin TD has announced he will not be contesting the next general election.

Michael Colreavy, who was first elected to the Dáil in 2011, informed supporters in Sligo and North Leitrim of his decision last night.

In a statement Deputy Colreavy said he wants to spend more time at home with his family and grandchildren.

He is currently Sinn Féin's spokesperson on Agriculture, Fisheries and Food in the Dáil.
