Water protesters to find out court decision on Thursday

A group of water protesters may be jailed or fined this Thursday over claims they obstructed water meter installation works in North Dublin.

GMC Sierra claims surveillance videos show protesters aggressively removing barriers, blocking vehicles, forcefully entering a work station and attempting to interfere with a water meter.

Mr Justice Paul Gilligan has to decide if there is enough evidence to show that the protesters have breached court orders which provide for a 20 metre exclusion zone around the works.

The judge will deliver his ruling on Thursday morning.
