One arrested after man's body found in Dundalk house

A young man's body has been found in Co Louth.

Gardaí say they are investigating all of the circumstances surrounding the death of the 29-year-old man in Dundalk in the early hours of this morning.

Officers responded to a call at a house in the Oaklawns area at around 3.45am where emergency services were attending to a man who was later pronounced dead at the scene.

A 27-year-old man has been arrested in connection with the investigation. He is being detained at Dundalk garda station under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act.

The scene has been preserved and the Office of the State Pathologist has been notified.
