Man dies, two women injured, in two-car crash

A man has died in a two-car collision in Co Leitrim.

The accident happened on the Ballinamore to Swanlinbar Road (R202) at around 7pm last night.

The incident occured in the townland of Lissacairn four miles approx from Swanlinbar.

An 18-year-old man, who was the driver and sole occupant of one of the cars, was taken to Enniskillen Hospital where was later pronounced dead in early hours of this morning.

Two female occupants of the second car were taken to Enniskillen hospital and later released.

Road is currently closed for technical examination by Garda forensic collision investigators.
