Mannix Flynn: 'Horrendous' reference to abuse in busking by-laws protest
A studio where Dublin Councillor Mannix Flynn has an office has been attacked by vandals apparently protesting the new busking by-laws.
The window of the premises on Ormond Quay in the city centre was smashed and graffiti was smeared on the door and walls.

The artist and Independent Councillor was in the building at the time of the attack in the early hours of yesterday morning.
Councillor Flynn said some of the graffiti made reference to abuse he suffered in an industrial school, while other messages referred directly to the busking by-laws.
"Horrendous reference (was made) to my personal experiences of abuse in Letterfrack," he said.
"A barrow was thrown through the window and 'We won't pay to play' was written on the wall, which was a direct reference to the busking by-laws that were enacted on Monday night in Dublin City Council, by-laws I had been supporting for some time but didn’t support on the night because they didn’t include an outright ban on amplification."
