Man dies in Galway road accident

A man has died after in a road accident at Kilkieran in Co Galway today.

The crash occurred at approximately 11am this morning.

A male pedestrian aged in his 40s was struck by a vehicle and was later pronounced dead at the scene.

The road is currently closed to facilitate a Garda forensic collision examination.
