Three men in their 20's will appear in court tomorrow charged in connection with a high-speed chase in Co Carlow last night.

Three members of the Gardaí were injured when a car failed to stop at a garda checkpoint on the N80 in Clonegal shortly before midnight.

A number of patrol cars gave chase through Ballon, Myshall, Garyhill and Fenagh, before the car stopped in Carlow town and rammed two of the garda vehicles.

The Gardaí were taken to St. Luke's Hospital in Kilkenny where they were treated for minor injuries.

A small amount of cocaine was recovered at the scene.

Three men were arrested at the scene and will appear before Kilkenny District Court at 10.30am tomorrow morning.
