Husbands to meet Minister over death of wives at Sligo Regional Hospital

The husbands of two women who died after giving birth at Sligo Regional Hospital, are due to meet the Health Minister Leo Varadkar today.

Michael Kivlehan and Sean Rowlette will meet Mr Varadkar to discuss the care their wives received.

Dhara Kivlehan died in Belfast as a result of multi-organ failure nine days after giving birth to their son in Sligo in 2010.

Sally Rowlette died at the hospital a day after she had given birth to her fourth child, in 2013.
